Co-founded by Dr. Anita Borg and Dr. Telle Whitney in 1994 and inspired by the legacy of Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, AnitaB.org’s Grace Hopper Celebration conference is designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing and technology to the forefront.

About the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI)

The Grace Hopper Celebration is the flagship event organized by AnitaB.org. It is the largest technical conference for women in Asia and the US. AnitaB.org India has been successfully organizing the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) since 2010, witnessing a significant growth year-on-year. At GHCI 18 the attendance grew by 49% from 2017 — and more than 9 times since the first GHCI in 2010 with 5,376 attendees. GHCI 18 had 66 sponsors, 411 corporate and academic participating organizations, 149 speakers, hundreds of volunteers and more. To know all about last year’s conference we encourage you to read the full GHCI 18 Impact Report.

GHCI focuses on the career, research and entrepreneur interests of women in technology. Speakers at the conference are leaders and experts in their respective fields from industry, academia and government. GHCI attendees can look forward to networking, learning and getting inspired from role models. GHCI 19 will have technical and non-technical tracks, the Tech Expo, Career Fair, Poster Session, TechTalks and more.
