Management of an organization is key to running any business successfully, engaging employees and increasing value for its customers. The sessions in this Track will guide and inspire women technologists on skills and strategies that define top-quality managers. The Management Track seeks submissions that will discuss and share experience and knowledge on people-skills, project management, personal leadership styles, multi-tasking, ideas to sharpen your negotiation skills and so on. The topics for submissions may include (but are not limited to):
- Developing sound project management skills
- Managing large scale programs
- Bringing together cross functional and cross cultural teams
- Managing, leading, motivating and nurturing employees
- Becoming a change agent
- Mentoring for excellence
- Branding yourself as a leader
- Upwards and downwards management
- Situational leadership
- Effective delegation
- High output management
- Manager as a trusted advisor
- Managing conflict
Content Level: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced career levels.
Submitters are asked to specify the audience(s) that will benefit the most from their session: Beginner (~0-5 years work experience), Intermediate (~5-15 years work experience) and Advanced (~15+ years work experience). Preference will be given to submissions that have thought through the specific audience profile and communicated clearly who this submission will benefit.
