The Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) 17, Opens Call for Submissions

GHCI 17 is India’s Largest Technical Conference for Women

Bangalore, 04 April, 2017: The AnitaB.org (ABI), a non-profit organization focused on the advancement of women in computing and technology, today announced the Call for Submissions for its flagship conference in India, the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) 17. The conference will take place on 16 and 17 November, 2017 in Bangalore. GHCI 17 is produced by AnitaB.org and presented in partnership with ACM India.

AnitaB.org India invites submissions from women in technology including professionals (entry to senior management) from the industry, government and academia; entrepreneurs and students. Submissions are also welcome from men with technical backgrounds, corporate recruiters and consultants.

GHCI 17 offers a variety of technical tracks which will include sessions on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and Data Mining, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud, Emerging Technologies, Human Computer Interaction and Systems Engineering. There is a new exciting track called the ‘Techno Social Innovation’ focusing on technologies having a positive social impact. GHCI 17 also has a track dedicated to management and leadership skills, which are imperative to any technical job. GHCI is the largest technical conference for women in India and provides opportunities to gain professional visibility, network and get inspiration from other women in technology. In 2016, GHCI had 2,909 attendees from 305 corporate and academic organizations.
